Donna Belle (Tisinger) Wilkerson

Donna Belle (Tisinger) Wilkerson, 94, of West Branch, Iowa entered eternity on Saturday, March 16, 2024 while under the care of the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, at 11:00 with a visitation with family and friends on Friday, March 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 both being held at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Private family burial will take place at a later date in the Pee Dee Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established.

Donna was born on December 29, 1929 in Cedar County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clifford Albert and Helen Frances (Mohr) Tisinger. Donna graduated from Tipton High School in 1947 and on August 1, 1948, Donna was united in marriage to Marvin Wendell Wilkerson in Tipton. Donna worked for Mercy Hospital in labor and delivery and then started a new career with the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician until her retirement in the early 90’s. Donna loved to cook, sew, play cards and garden.

Donna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Joseph Duster of North Liberty, Iowa, sons, Dean and his wife, Pam Wilkerson of West Branch, Iowa and Jim and his wife, Deborah Wilkerson of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, Debra (Ivan), Michael (Angela), Jacqueline (Lucas), Quentin (Stephanie) and Austin (Teresa); and many great grandchildren, siblings, Eugene Tisinger, Janet Kleckner, Allen (Connie) Tisinger and Paul (Alma) Tisinger, sisters-n-law, Joan Tisinger and Cecelia Tisinger.  Donna was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, on December 15, 2010, and her brothers, Wayne Tisinger, Lee Tisinger and her sister, Patricia Kleckner.
