Steven Dale Hines

Steven Dale Hines, 78, of Clarence, entered eternity on Monday, March 18, 2024. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00, all at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will be held at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Iowa. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

Steve, son of Howard Dale Hines and Arlene Joyce Behrend Hines, was born on August 28, 1945 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Steve graduated from Clarence High School with the Class of 1963. Steve earned his accounting degree from American Institute of Business in Davenport. Steve was employed with Iowa Manufacturing for many years and then went to work for Aegon in Cedar Rapids until he retired.  Steve then became a driver for Lynch Ford for a few years until his mother’s health declined which required Steve to be a full-time caregiver. Steve enjoyed people and spending time socializing with friends and family. Steve was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan and was an avid sports fan following local sports.

Steve is survived by many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
