Robert Carl Clemmens

Robert ‘Bob’ Carl Clemmens, 88, formerly of Atalissa, died at 9:25 pm on Friday, July 12, 2019 in Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Private family arrangements are currently pending at this time.  Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

Bob was born on November 3, 1930 in rural Cedar County, Iowa and was the son of Raymond Carl Clemmens and Louise Elizabeth Wilkerson Clemmens. Bob was a member of the graduating class of the Springdale High School in 1948. On December 23, 1959 Bob was united in marriage to Ruby Mae Herrold in the Springdale United Methodist Church. Bob and Ruby were lifelong farmers. When Bob’s health began to decline the decision was made on July 23, 2018 to make his home in Cedar Manor.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ruby Clemmens of Atalissa, Iowa; his sister, Marilyn and husband, Harley Conrad of Tipton, Iowa and his brother, Evan Clemmens of The Garden’s in Des Moines, Iowa; his brother-in-law, Charlie Herrold of West Liberty, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Louis Clemmens, and his sister-in-law, Margaret Clemmens.
