Marie Pacha, 66, passed peacefully from this world Friday night, August 24, 2018, surrounded by family and friends in her daughter’s home. Per Marie’s wishes, she was cremated. A celebration of Marie’s life will be held Saturday, September 1st, starting at 2pm, at her daughter’s home – 524 E. Fourth Street in Tipton. Marie was born on August 7, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Patt Hess, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Albia High School in 1970 and earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Kirkwood Community College in 2005. Marie was a writer and artist all of her life. She was a published author of many books, including “Pawnshop”, “Whimsey”, and “Ewetopia” and painted multiple murals in the local area; however, she always felt her greatest accomplishment were her kids.
Marie leaves behind her three children: Kelly (Ted) Hartman of Tipton, Josef (Wynter) Pacha of Allen, Texas and Benjamin Pacha of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren: Jason “JT” Bergeron of Melbourne, Florida, Ryan (Amy) Hartman of Dallas, Texas; Hanna (Dustin) Henry of Melbourne, Florida and Jacub Hartman of Tipton, Iowa; great-grandchild: Haven Henry of Melbourne, FL; and her brothers, John and Patrick Hess of Liberty, Missouri as well as a host of friends and extended family.
