Wilma N. Pearson, 90, of Tipton, entered eternity on Wednesday, June 6th in the Cedar Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, June 8th, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am, Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton, Iowa. A luncheon will follow then burial will take place in Inland Cemetery, Bennett, Iowa. The Rev. Daniel Ognoskie will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brent Chambliss, Mark Chambliss, Jason Daedlow, Thad Belitz, Adam Belitz and Justin Spratt. Honorary bearers will be Kim Pelzer, Cady Ketelsen, Amy Lenz, Leslie Belitz and Jenna Gattas. Memorials may be donated to the Zion Lutheran Church or the Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Wilma, daughter of Ernest and Frieda Voss, was born on February 19, 1928 in Nebraska. Wilma married Elmer William Belitz in 1946 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bennett. After his death in November of 1997 Wilma was united in marriage to Frank Wendell Pearson in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City in November of 1998. Frank died December 17, 2012. Wilma was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton and served on the Ladies Aid, the Tipton Garden Club, Volunteer Services of Cedar County and the BPW. Wilma worked as the office manager and accountant for the Cedar County Co-op for approximately 30 years.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Allen Paustian of Tipton, her son, Robert, and wife, Eva Belitz of Wilton, Step-Daughter, Debbie Spratt of Tiffin, Daughter-in-law, Kim Belitz of Wilton; 11 grandchildren, Kim, Mark, Brent, Jason, Amy, Adam, Cady, Thad, Leslie, Justin and Jenna; 25 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Vernon Voss of Bennett. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Elmer and Frank; her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Dick Chambliss; her son, Joel; her brother, Erwin and her sister, Norma.
