Richard Hummel

Richard (Dick) S. Hummel, son of Elmer & Marie Hummel, was born December 11, 1920, in Davenport, Iowa. He was a Davenport West High School graduate and attended the Dairy Science Program in Ames, Iowa for two years. Dick served in the US Army, 95th Infantry. On October 6, 1950, Dick was united in marriage to Mary Janice Prevo in Tipton, Iowa. He was a member of the Tipton United Methodist Church. Dick is survived by his wife, Mary Hummel of tipton, Iowa; son, Todd Hummel & wife, Dianne of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; step-grandchildren, Elise, Erynn and Dustin; and step-great-grandchildren, Sam and Emila. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Marie Hummel; sister, Evelyn Noll and step-great-granddaughter, Rylee. Memorials may be made to the Tipton Public Library.
