Alice Marie (Wiskus) Rodgers

Alice Marie (Wiskus) Rodgers, 63, of West Branch, IA, died peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Crestview Nursing Home in West Branch. Family will hold a Visitation and Funeral service at Fry Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2022.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, followed by her Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ron Lashmit, at 3:00pm with Cremation Rites afterward. A memorial fund has been established in Alice’s memory. Cards and memorials may be mailed to 132 Main St., Fruitland, IA 52749. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Alice, daughter of Andrew John and Violet Alice (Thurston) Wiskus, was born on Monday, October 13, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1976 and later went on obtain an associate degree in Computer Science at Kirkwood Community College. Throughout her life, Alice worked at Al’s Meat and Eat restaurant, Rockwell International and NCS. Alice was known for her bubbly and very outgoing personality and for how much she loved her grand kids. Alice is survived by her daughter, Lindsey (Matthew Malloy) Fair of Fruitland, IA; son, Joe (Stephanie) Gottschalk of Lone Tree, IA; brother, John (Bonnie) Wiskus of Wishek, ND; grandchildren, Caleb, Kelsi, Bailee Jo, and Gabriel; and great-grandson, Elijah. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Samuel James Wiskus.
