Alva Delores Hansen

Delores Hansen, 90, of Tipton passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Iowa City Rehab & Health Care Center. Funeral services will be at 11am, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral services, from 10-11am at Fry Funeral Home. Reverend Norman Anderson will be officiating. On-line condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Delores was born May 11, 1923, the daughter of Giles & Carrie Smith in Colorado. Delores married Norman Hansen on July 2, 1954. She blessed with 4 children, Fred, Carrie, Vicky and Bryon. Delores was a Painter and Wallpaper Hanger. She attended Rochester United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Carrie Espinoza of Iowa City, IA and Vicky Latham of West Liberty, IA; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; sons, Frederick Hansen and Bryon Hansen; and Daughter-in-Law, Ginette Hansen.
