Argel Eldon Copeland

Argel "Art" Eldon Copeland, 81, Tipton, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, of complications of pneumonia. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, 2:00 PM, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Ronald Lashmit officiating. Light refreshments will be shared for family and friends following the memorial tribute at Fry's. Art was born October 31, 1931 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was the son of Columbus Boss and Anna Jones Copeland. Art was a kind and gentle man who found pleasure being a horse trader and an electrician. He was also a man of the Baptist faith. Art is survived by his four daughters, LaWanda Copeland and Pamela Donka of Glendale, Arizona, Marisa "Reese" Ransberger of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Teresa Jackson of Tipton, Iowa; his son, Eldon Copeland of Kennewick, Washington. Art is also survived by his special friend and companion, Bernice Kohl of Tipton, Iowa.
