Audrey Josephine Martin

Audrey Josephine Martin, 94, formerly of Tipton, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Davenport, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015, at 11:00 am, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Vernon Rhodes will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday morning beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service. A memorial has been established in Audrey's honor. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Audrey was born on September 17, 1920, in Davenport, and was the daughter of Paul Arthur and Ruth Olive Adams Sindt. Audrey was united in marriage to Walter "Bud" Edwin Martin on September 27, 1940 in Davenport. She was a graduate of Tipton High School, a homemaker, and a member of the Jehovah's Witness Tipton Congregation. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Patti (Dennis) Ray of Atalissa, Iowa; son, Walter (Marlene) Martin of Cocoa, Florida; sisters, Evelyn Workman of Madison, Wisconsin and Marion Siefert of Davenport; 5 grandchildren, Karlena (Rick) Merritts, Kyle (Kara) Merritts, Katrina Merritts, Denise (Greg) Maiers and Dennis (Bridgette) Ray, Jr; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Paul Harry Martin; and brothers-in-law, Bob Workman and Harold Siefert.
