Barbara Spickermann

Barbara Lucille Steen was born on December 5, 1937 in Mercy Hospital in Davenport, Iowa to James L. and Okylle M. Collins Steen. She was a 1956 graduate of Bennett High School. On June 23, 1956, Barbara was united in marriage to Warren R. Spickermann. Barbara was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She worked for Heines Company, Wabash Transformer, Purethane and was a seasonal worker for Pioneer Seed. She loved her flowers, bowling, bingo, playing Scrabble and enjoyed playing piano. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her mother, Okylle Steen of Princeton, Iowa; her husband, Warren R. Spickermann of Bennett, Iowa; son, Mark and wife, Pamela Spickermann of Mechanicsville, Iowa; daughter, Michelle and husband Maurice Veurink of West Jordan, Utah; 5 grandchildren, Garrett, Dalton and Hailey Veurink and Shane and Aaron Spickermann; brothers, Don Steen and Doug Steen. She was proceeded in death by her father, James Steen; her two sons, Michael and Mitchell Spickermann.
