Belva June Leslie, 87, of Oxford Junction, passed away on January 28, 2014 at the Mechanicsville Nursing Home, in Mechanicsville, IA. A private family viewing will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10AM at the Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, IA.; Immediately following, family will proceed to the Mayflower Cemetery in Oxford Junction, IA for graveside services. Belva June Coker was born on October 31, 1926, in Jones County, to Walter and Blanche Coker. On September 24, 1947, she married Allen Leroy Leslie at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Allen and Belva had four children; John, Janet, Jill and Jeff. Belva was a full-time homemaker. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and Eastern Star. Belva is survived by her daughters, Janet Larson, Austin, MN and Jill Whetstone, Tipton, IA; son, Jeffrey Leslie, Tipton, IA; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; and son, John Leslie.
