Berrie (Lee) Glick

Cedar Bluff

Berrie Glick, 73, of Cedar Bluff, IA, was called home to the gardens of Heaven on Saturday, April 3, 2021, from complications after heart surgery. A Celebration of Life, officiated by Pastor Jay Amundson, will be held on Wednesday, April 7 at 10:30 am at the Tipton First United Methodist Church. Also, at the Methodist church, family will have a time of Visitation from 9:00 am – 10:30 am and will continue to receive friends in the church’s fellowship room, from 11:30am – 1:00 pm. Family and church staff ask that all visitors enter the church from the Lynn St. entrance and that you please wear a mask due to Covid restrictions. Memorials for the Tipton First United Methodist Church and the Tipton Fine Arts Council have been created in Berrie’s memory. All cards and memorials may be mailed to Fry Funeral Home, PO Box 30, Tipton, IA. 52772, in c/o Larry Glick. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Berrie was born on Tuesday, January 13, 1948 in Milwaukee, WI and was the daughter of Bert and Janet (Howard) Lee. She graduated from Bettendorf High School and enjoyed various studies at Iowa State University.  On July 15, 1969 Berrie was united in marriage to Larry Glick in Bettendorf, Iowa. Berrie was a partner with Larry in all aspects of life, including farming, family and church. They have been members of the United Methodist Church in Tipton where Berrie shared her vocal talents in the church choir and devoted her time as a faithful servant in many capacities over the years. She shared her love of music by playing in the pit band for many of the Tipton High School Fine Arts productions as well as playing in the Tri - County Community Band. Berrie was a preschool teacher for many years and was a member of P.E.O Chapters DY and AH. She was elected to the Tipton School Board in 1989 and served for twelve years and was also a past 4-H Leader.  She was an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting. Although Berrie loved her children, Rob and Carrie, Berrie’s grandchildren, Eli, Grady, Finn and Carson, were the lights of her life. Berrie is survived by her husband, Larry Glick of Cedar Bluff, IA; children, Rob (Amy) Glick of Cedar Bluff, IA and Carrie Glick of Mountain View (near Tipton), IA; sisters, Christine Quinlan of Rock Island, IL and Barbara (John) Lester of Davenport, IA; brother, Chuck (Renate) Lee of Bettendorf, IA; four grandsons, Eli and Finn Lindsey and Grady and Carson Glick; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.  Berrie was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Janet.
