Bethany Hulda Syring, 80, of Appleton, Wisconsin, formerly of Eldridge and Tipton, Iowa, died October 27, 2009 at her home in Appleton. A visitation will take place, Friday, October 30, 2009 from 4-7 PM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009, 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge, Iowa with a one hour visitation prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Pastor Dan Mixdorf and Pastor Dale Marshall will be officiating. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton, Iowa. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Bethany Hulda Syring, daughter of Martin and Hulda Kruckenberg Wenndt, was born November 29, 1928, in Lowden, Iowa. She attended school in Lowden while growing up. On April 23, 1950, Bethany was united in marriage to Harold John Syring in Lowden. Bethany was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Eldridge, Iowa, Kings Daughters, and Women of the Moose. Bethany is loved and survived by her son, Larry (Debbie) Syring of Appleton, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jennifer (Anthony) Bowers, Michael (Mara) Syring, Michelle (Chris) Stokes; great-grandchildren, Jackson Stokes, Rohan Syring, Taylor Bowers, Kaylee Bowers; sister, Marvella Hans of Ankeny, Iowa; son-in-law, Gary Spies of Iowa City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Hulda Wenndt; husband, Harold Syring on January 16, 2001; daughter, Barbara Spies on September 13, 1975; sister, Ellouise Daehn; brother Clifford Wenndt. Memorials may be made to the Bethany Syring Memorial Fund.
