Brenda Lee Vanscoy

Memorial services for Brenda Lee (Unruh) VansCoy, 64, of Tipton who died Monday, December 9, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City of an extended illness, will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Rev. Ron Lashmit will be officiating. There will be a visitation at Fry Funeral Home from 4-6 PM, two hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be at the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Brenda. Brenda was born April 29, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ray Carol and Ruth Iola (Dettman) Unruh. She was a 1968 graduate of Tipton High School. Brenda worked as a waitress for many years at the M&L Restaurant in Tipton. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and dearly loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Lynn VansCoy Batzkiel and significant other, Curt Stonerook of Rochester, IA; sisters, Glenda Pitlik of West branch, IA, Linda (Rick) Thumma of Tipton, IA, Diane Duwa of Tipton, IA, Kelly Unruh and fiancé
