Brian, son of Marvin Edwin Telleen and Rose Marie Brownell Telleen, was born October 31, 1953 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Growing up, Brian was an all-around farm kid. He was in 4-H where he showed dairy cattle. Brian was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Gowrie, Iowa. Brian graduated from Prairie Community High School in 1972. He then moved to Ames to attend Iowa State University, earning his Bachelors Degree in Animal Science.
On September 13, 2003, Brian married the love of his life, Nancy Sue Werling on their family farm in Atalissa, Iowa. Brian worked at Cedar Valley Dairy as their Crops Manager, then for Precision Steel in Wilton, Iowa. He loved cattle, making hay, and willingly worked every area of their Atalissa family farm all throughout his life. His love for Allis-Chalmers and many hobby tractors was evident as Brian was often seen proudly showing off his prized tractors in the local holiday parades. His wife, family and farm were most important.
Brian is survived by his wife, Nancy; step-son, Dustin (Stacey) Werling of Atalissa, IA; brothers, Evan Telleen of Gowrie, IA, Bruce (Jami) Telleen of Monticello, IA, and Jon Telleen of Gowrie, IA; and two granddaughters, Parker and Paige. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Stephanie Telleen.
