Bryon Edward Hansen

Bryon E. Hansen, 68, of Rochester, was born on December 29, 1943 and lost his battle with cancer on October 19, 2011, VA Medical Center, Iowa City. Bryon served in Korea and Vietnam and was wounded in Vietnam and received a purple heart. He is survived by his mother, Delores Hansen of Rochester, sisters, Vicky Latham and Carrie Espinoza of Iowa City; his nieces, Cheryl Revelez and Tammy Allen; nephews, Ron Latham, Jamie Mayfield and Lionel Gatto; son, Tim Hansen of Clinton, Iowa; and special friend, Maxine Miller. Bryon will receive military graveside rites on Monday, October 24, 2011, at 11:30 am, Rock Island Arsenal Cemetery. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at the Tipton VFW on November 5, 2011 from 4pm - 8pm where everyone can help celebrate his life.
