Charles Edward Moeller

Charles (Chuck) Edward Moeller, 76, of Tipton, died Friday, January 1, 2016 in his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 12:00 pm, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:45 am, Fry Funeral Home. Burial and graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Toronto, Iowa. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Chuck was born on June 7, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa, son of Peter and Dorothy (Paetow) Moeller. He attended Oxford Junction High School before serving his country for 4 years in the United States Navy. Charles married the late Carolyn (Fox) Hain and they were blessed with 2 children. They later divorced but their friendship continued. Charles worked on various farms as a hired-hand before his employment with North Star Steel where he continued until retirement. He also had an eye for a good sports car and enjoyed working on them before taking them out for an occasional race! Loving and devoted, dedicated and funny, the highlight of Charles' days was spending time with all his family. Chuck is survived by his daughter, Lori (Bryon) Arensdorf, Tipton; son, Lonnie (Laura Wooten) Moeller, Cedar Rapids; brother, Mike Moeller, Toronto, Iowa; grandchildren, Jacob (McKenzie) Arensdorf, Katie Arensdorf, Makayla Moeller; great-grandchild, baby Edward (expected in April); niece, Michele Moeller; 5 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews whom Chuck treated as his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Carolyn (Fox) Hain; and his nephews Mickey and Mark Moeller.
