Charles Thumm

Charles Thumm was born June 22, 1936, to Luther Thumm and Pauline Mary Kinyon. He married Helga B. Wolff on April 11, 1957, in Berlin, Germany, they later divorced. He then married Rosalie Thumm and they later divorced. Charles was employed at Riverbend Transit Driver for 10 years as a machinist mechanic. He attended Tipton High School. He was of Protestant faith and a lifetime member of Tipton VFW Post 2537 and Clarence American Legion; and a past member of Tipton Moose. Charels was a verteran of the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Survivors include his daughter, Gisela (Bruce) Eiselstein of Bennett, Iowa; sons, Michael Thumm of Iowa City; Robert (Karina Krall) Thumm of Atalissa, Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Delmer (Shirley) Thumm of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, Burt (Charline) Thumm of Tipton, and Darrel (Betty) Thumm of Tyler, Texas. He is preceded by his parents.
