Christine Beret Eserhaut, daughter of Berthinus and Marie Petersen Tollefsrud, was born October 19, 1917, in Ulen, Minnesota. She attended school in New Liberty. On June 22, 1938, Christine was united in marriage to Robert Harry Eserhaut at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. Christine farmed along with her husband their entire married life. She enjoyed birds and raised ducks, geese and chickens. Christine is loved and survived by her daughter, Roberta Morris of Colona, Illinois; grandchildren, Dan Morris, currently deployed to Kuwait, Kevin (Mary) Morris of Bennett, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Margaret (Paul) Stecker of Bennett, Iowa, Robert Morris of Decorah, Iowa; great-great-grandchildren, Zak and Ben Stecker of Bennett, Iowa; sisters, Caroline Hendricks of Tipton, Iowa, Grace Countryman of Tipton, Iowa; Madeline Andress of Silvis, Illinois; lifelong friend Hilda Bluedorn of Maysville, Iowa; her dogs, Roxy and Rover. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Eserhaut; and sisters, Florence Kress and Margaret Seys.
