Christine Rose Griffin

Christine Rose Griffin, 82, of Clarence, Iowa, died peacefully early Friday morning, March 20, 2026, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton, Iowa. There are currently no services planned. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

Christine was born December 14, 1943, in Muscatine, Iowa. She graduated from high school and worked for many different businesses throughout her life in secretarial roles. Many will remember Christine as “Mrs. Claus,” as she brought joy to others while celebrating the Christmas season.

Christine loved attending her grandchildren’s events and was active in community activities. She also enjoyed tea parties and special outings with her grandchildren.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Laura (Devin) Schroeder of Tipton; her grandchildren, Jessy First, Ross First, Jake (Lindsey) First, MacKenzie (Sean) Isaacson, and Mitchell (Paige) Schroeder; and her great-grandchildren, Briggs Wallace, Bohdan First, Lexus First, Aubrey First, Emily First, Izzy First, Kaden Schroeder, and Stetson Schroeder. She was preceded in death by her son, Brad First, who died on March 19, 1993.
