Curtis Darrell Flora, 91, formerly of Tipton, entered the fullness of eternal life on April 23, 2026 while under the care of the Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon. Curtis, son of Frank Bert and Marie Anne Smitinky Flora, was born on May 14, 1934 in Farrar, Iowa. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 15, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas and was honorably discharged on May 4, 1955 in Ft. Riley, Kansas. Curtis served with the Co I 85th Infantry Regiment and received the National Defense Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar. Curtis spent most of his life in construction specializing in welding and roofing.
Curtis is survived by his daughter, Sandra Rodgers of Lacona, Iowa and his sons, Bart Flora of Winterset, Iowa and Scott Flora; grandchildren, Phillip Hunter, Dean Fridley and John Fridley. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, his son, Danny Flora, and his siblings, Bernard Flora, ChesterFlora, Betty Hays and Clorinda Utley.
