Danny Michael Symmonds

Danny Michael Symmonds, 60, formerly of Tipton passed peacefully early Monday morning in the Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10:30 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton with the Rev. Ron Lashmit officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton. Pallbearers will be John Miller, Jim Birkhofer, Joe Imhoff, Todd Nath, Benny Symmonds, Britney Nath and Jason Symmonds. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Fry's. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Danny was born on February 7, 1954 in Muscatine, Iowa. He was the son of Benny and Addie Marie Mentink Symmonds. On July 25, 1980 Danny was united in marriage to Lori Ann Miller in Muscatine. Danny was a mechanic. He repaired pumps for 15 years and worked on cars for 25 years. He was a past member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Davenport. Danny is survived by his wife, Lori, of Lowden, Iowa; daughters, Jennifer (Todd) Nath of Mechanicsville and Leann Symmonds of Lowden, Iowa; son, Jason (Tiffani) Symmonds of Stanwood; grandkids, Britney Nath, Cora Nath and J.J. Nath; sister, Melody Kazenske of LeClaire, Iowa; brothers, Benny Symmonds of Davenport, Iowa and Ed Symmonds of Centerville, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marie Yerington, and his niece, Tasha Symmonds.
