Darlene Emily Dammeier

Funeral services for Darlene Emily Dammeier, 75, of Bettendorf who died Thursday, May 19, 2011 will be held Monday, May 23, 2011 at 10:30 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton with Pastor Tim Damour-Paul officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 2-5 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic, Tipton. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society in memory of Darlene. Darlene was born March 20, 1936, in Davenport, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Minnie Ramm Edler. She was a 1954 graduate of Bennett High School. On May 15, 1960, Darlene was united in marriage to Paul R. Dammeier. Darlene was employed at Osco Drug and Petersen Harned Von Maur in Bettendorf. She was a member of the Davenport Faith United Church of Christ and the Tipton VFW Auxiliary. She organized a breast cancer support group and was involved with Reach for Recovery. Darlene is loved and survived by her husband, Paul Dammeier of Bettendorf; son, Jerry (Kris) Dammeier of Davenport; step-sisters, Florence (LeRoy) Reedy of Davenport, Ethel Henning of Eldridge; and step-brother, Howard Bouchaute of New Liberty. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers-in-law, Helmut and Rudy.
