David Dean Penningroth

David Dean Penningroth, 54, of Tipton, entered his eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2026 while under the care of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Private family services will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

David, son of Darrel and Janice Meier Penningroth, was born on October 14, 1971. David graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1990. He was employed for Poe Construction for nearly 15 years and then approximately 20 years with Cummins Manufacturing until his health declined. David loved to play softball and bowling. He was a big fan of the Arizona Cardinals and the Iowa State Cyclones. David had a big heart and a friend to everyone.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Penningroth. 

David is survived by his father, Darrel (Janet) Penningroth of Tipton, his brother, Rob (Angie) Penningroth of Clarence, his children, Emma and Caden Penningroth and his nephew, Austin (Kirsten) Penningroth and their daughter, Adri. David was an easy-going man who could be seen walking to work, WalMartand the grocery store.
