Diania Kay Briggs

Diania Kaye Baker Briggs, 51, formerly of Tipton, died Friday, November 26, Mercy Hospital Hospice Unit, Iowa City, from complications of pancreatic cancer. As per her wishes cremation rites were accorded and private burial will occur at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheatridge, Colorado. . Diania, daughter of Earl and Carol Dahl Baker, was born on October 26, 1959 in St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She graduated from Tipton High School (1978) and Muscatine Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. Diania loved helping people and this was evident since she worked for many years for Eden Assisted Living in Colorado. Diania was married to David Jack Briggs on February 24, 2010 in Denver, Colorado at Rowan Community. David died on September 21, 2010 from complications of throat cancer. Surviving is her mother, Carol Baker of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Brandi (Brad) Reynolds of Tipton, Iowa; sisters, Mary Baker of Coralville, Iowa, Misty (Scott) Smith of Monticello, Iowa; brother, Greg Baker of Clarence, Iowa; grandson, Andrew Earl Reynolds of Tipton, Iowa. Diania was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
