Diann E. Rowold

Diann E. Rowold, 82, of Wheatland, passed peacefully at her home on Monday, February 2, 2026, with her family by her side. Diann had requested a simple graveside service for her family, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Wheatland, with Pastor Scott Meyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to PO Box 427, Wheatland, Iowa. These gifts will be used in Diann’s honor to support the care and protection of animals in need.

Diann was born on July 30, 1943, to Carol and Virginia Rothbart of Wheatland. She graduated from Wheatland Community School with the Class of 1961 and was married to Harry Rowold on June 3, 1964. Diann, known to all who loved her as ‘Grammie,’ filled her days with love for her family, her animals, her beautiful flower garden, and a special fondness for the little treasures that brightened her home.

Those who will lovingly remember Diann include her husband, Harry; her children, Holly (Robert) Dwyer and Ross (Leslie) Rowold; her grandchildren, Allison (Eric) Petersen, Kait (Adrienne) Noel, Carter Dwyer, Riley (Bailey) Rowold, and Tyler (Lauren) Rowold; her great‑grandchildren, Brody and Tucker Petersen (her sunshine boys), and Laiken and Hayden Rowold; and her sister, Rosemary Stewart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Virginia, and her special aunt, Phyllis Fey.

Diann’s warmth, kindness, and love for life touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family and all the creatures she cared for.
