Donald Stout

Donald Franklin Stout, son of Benjamin & Florence Edwards Stout, was born January 11, 1921, in Tipton, Iowa. He was a 1938 Tipton High School Graduate and served in the United States Army from 1941 - 1945. On December 24, 1941, Donald was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Stout in Tipton, Iowa. Donald worked as a carpenter, contractor and gunsmith. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton; the American Legion, Cedar County Historical Society and National Rifleman's Association. Donald will always be remember for his knowledge and love of Cedar County history and as an author. Donald is survived by his sons; Alan F. Stout, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Randall C. Stout, & wife, Laura, of Battle Creek, Michigan; and one grandchild, Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Florence Stout; and his wife, Dorothy Stout.
