Dorothy Schroeder

Dorothy Ann Yeries Schroeder, daughter of Barney & Anna Koss Yeries, was born February 3, 1909 in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended school in Iowa City while growing up. On March 3, 1932, Dorothy was united in marriage to Bernhard Emil Schroeder in Madison, Wisconsin. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Beverly Kisner of Davenport, Iowa and Vivian Rekemeyler & husband, Mike of Tipton, Iowa; a son, Richard Schroeder & wife, Janis of Houston, Texas; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Leo Yeries of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daugher-in-law, Betty Lou Schroeder; and sister-in-law, Lottie Yeries. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney & Anna Yeries; her husband, Bernhard Schroeder on December 13, 1975; a son, Gordon Schroeder; grandson, Gordon, Jr.; great-grandson, Matthew Kisner; sisters, Nora Johnson, Rose Beranek, Frances Mentze, Edith Yeries and Ethyl Bohac; and brothers, Melvin, Harlan, Frank, William, Glenn and Lawrence Yeries. A memorial has been established in honor of Dorothy.
