Eileen Meyer

Eileen Therese Mahoney Meyer, daughter of Timothy & Mary Moon Mahoney, was born May 8, 1912, in Tipton, Iowa. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1931, and attended Teacher's Training in Cedar Falls, Iowa. On October 7, 1942, Eileen was united in marriage to Lloyd Edward Meyer in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tipton. Eileen was employed by the Cedar County Courthouse in the Sheriff's Office. She later operated the store in Buchanan with her husband until 1960. She retired in 1974, from the Medical Records Department at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. She was a member of St. Theresa's Guild and the Democrat Voting Board. Eileen is loved and survived by her husband, Lloyd Hi" Meyer of Tipton Iowa; her daughters Mary Kay "Molly" Williams and husband David of Tipton Iowa and Patricia Ann Moore of Tipton Iowa; her five grandchildren Michele Becker & husband Leighton Mark Williams Scott Williams Timothy Moore and Matthew Moore & wife Meagan; and great-grandchildren Erin Williams Tori Moore Maggy Williams and Katie Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents Timothy & Mary Mahoney; her borthers Thomas Francis and Maurice Mahoney; and her sisters Mary Therese Catherine and Loretta Mahoney. "
