Eldon "Eddie" Charles Dietz

Eldon “Eddie” Charles Dietz, 82, of Tipton, IA died on the morning of Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. On Friday, June 24, 2022, Fry Funeral Home will host a Visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am and a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Ed will then be laid to rest in the Shawver Cemetery at 11:45 am. After Graveside services, friends and family are invited to a luncheon at 12:00 noon. The location of the luncheon will be held at 401 W. 9th Street, (Event Center) Tipton. Due to the expected high temperature, family encourages you to dress comfortably. In lieu of flowers, cards and memorials may be addressed to- Jo Ann Dietz, 1200 Mulberry St., Tipton, IA 52772. Eldon, son of Alvin Harold and Eleanor Mable (White) Dietz, was born on Wednesday, June 5, 1940 in Bremer County, IA. He graduated with Nashua High School’s, Class of 1958. On September 26, 1965, Eddie married the love of his life, Jo Ann Frederick. Eddie and Jo were blessed with two daughters, Michele and Kimberly. Eddie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a quiet man, a family man and a dog man. He cherished his family and loved dogs, especially his Labrador Retrievers.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Jo; daughters, Michele (Jeff) Gipson and Kimberly Kochuyt; sisters, Florence Hatzky and Shirley Diesburg; brother Dean Dietz; grandchildren, Juston (Ronni) Lowry-Gipson, Jesseca (Hunter) Lee and Wyatt Kochuyt; great grandchildren, Stella Lowry-Gipson and Vincent Dutch Lee. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Dorwin, Kathleen Key, and Lois Dietz; and brothers, Kenneth Dietz, Robert Dietz, Wendell Dietz, Wayne Dietz, and Gene Dietz.
