Eleanor Martin

Eleanor Elizabeth Blair Martin, daughter of George F. and Mabel Ford Blair, was born in Bennett, Iowa on April 2, 1913. She was a 1933 graduate of Bennett High School. On March 12, 1940, Eleanor was united in marriage to Havey Elmo Martin in the Methodist Church in Bennett, Iowa. She devoted her life to her family, church and community. Eleanor was a member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett. Eleanor is love and survived by her daughter, Carol Wiggins, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her son, George Martin, and wife, Kathleen, of Indianola, Iowa; her grandchildren, Nicole Zahn, and husband, Dan, of Des Moines, Iowa, Tricia Martin, of Washington, DC, and Erin Martin, of Waterloo, Iowa; a step-sister, Virginia Heinze, of Marengo, Iowa; and a step-brother, Eugene Potter, and wife, Gerry, of Royal Oak, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Havey Martin, on October 21, 1952; and her son-in-law, James D. Wiggins, on July 7, 2001.
