Ellen Carol (Clements) Proctor

Ellen Carol Proctor, 76, of Rochester, entered eternity on Friday, August 26, 2022 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31st at 11:00 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Ronald Lashmit will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning beginning at 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00. Cremation will follow the service. A memorial fund has been established in her memory. Ellen was born on July 18, 1946 in Bennett, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edward Anthony and Grace Audrey Wethington Clements. Ellen graduated from Bennett High School with the Class of 1964. On November 28, 1970, Ellen was united in marriage to Lester Alvin Proctor in Tipton, Iowa. They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage together. Ellen enjoyed the simple things in life, living in the country, taking time to watch colors come alive on a page, and sitting down with a good cup of coffee and a cigarette. Her family was her life and she will be greatly missed.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Lester Proctor, Sr. of Rochester, Iowa; her children, Lester Proctor, Jr (Vickie) of Wilton, Iowa, and Kari Lynn Proctor (Shaun) of Clarence, Iowa; sisters, Brenda (Sid) Brown of Oregon,  Wanda Ossman of Davenport, Iowa, Gracie Gritton of Rochester, Iowa, Paula (Michael) Ruefer of Davenport, Iowa; brother, Eddie (Shelley) Clements of Overland Park, Kansas; Special Sister, Shirley Swingle of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Tylyn, Mackenzie, Hannah, Austin, Hailey, Taylor, Connor and Samantha, and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward “Bud” A Clements and Grace A. Wethington Clements; son, Billy Joe Proctor; Grandson, Matthew Thomas Proctor; sisters, Candise Clements and Catherine Hollingsworth.
