Funeral services for Ellen Irene Myers, 90, of Tipton who died Thursday, October 25, 2012 will be held Monday, 29, 2012 at 2:30 pm Fry Funeral Home, Tipton with Rev. Norman Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 2-5 pm at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Inland Cemetery, Bennett. She was the daughter of John Clarence and Lucy Elizabeth Whitmer Ford. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Walter Donald Myers in Burlington, Iowa. Ellen attended country schools while growing up and worked as a waitress at the "Bring-Er-Inn". Ellen is survived by her son, Gary Myers of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Matthew Myers of Davenport and Jamie Myers of Rock Island, IL; great-grandchild, Alex Padilla of Rock Island, IL; and a sister, Genevieve of Tipton. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy Ford; husband, Walter; brothers, Peter, Daniel, Clarence, Charlie, Lawrence, Frank; sisters, Bertha, Nelle, Violet, and Viola
