Elsie Walter

Elsie Elizabeth Walter, daughter of John H. and Anna Burmiester Feddersen, was born March 23, 1925, in Clarence Iowa. She was a 1944 graduate of Clarence High School and received her nurses training at Mercy Hospital. Elsie was united in marriage to Virgil Herbert Walter on December 14, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa. She worked as an L.P.N. at the Cedar County Care Facility for 11 years. She was a member of the Stanwood Union Church, O.E.S. and taught Sunday School. Elsie is survived by her son, Steve Herbert Walter of Davenport, Iowa; brother John E. Feddersen of Stanwood, Iowa; and very special friend, Lois Dauber of Stanwood, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil in 1984; sisters, Irene Ause, Esther Miller and infant sister, Ella Feddersen; and infant brother, Raymond Reddersen. Memorials may be made to the Stanwood Union Church and/or the Fire Department and Ambulance.
