Elwood Shorty Steffen

Elwood Shorty" Steffen son of Hugo Otto & Emma Ericksen Steffen was born January 201926.0 in Durant Iowa. He served in the United States Navy. Elwood was a 1943 graduate of Tipton High School. He was employed by Breese Company for 24 years. He also worked for Hargrave Company and Miller Motor Company in Tipton. He was a member of the Tipton Moose Lodge and the VFW Post 2537. Elwood is survived by his two daughters Debra Jeanne Moffit & husbandGeorge of Stanwood Iowa and Dawn Renee Rowold & husband Steve of Tipton Iowa; grandsons Travis and Matthew; his sisters Cleo Schmidt & husband Arthur of Cedar Rapids Iowa and Imogene Jandik & husband Stan of Texas; and special friend Wilma Jepsen of Durant Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugo & Emma Steffen; and two brothers Hugo (Bud) and Earl."
