Elza Dawson

Elza Earl Dawson, son of Vilas Earl and Lillie Mae Pearson Dawson was born March 10, 1911 in Mitchellville, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Maxine Elizabeth Sissel on June 8, 1935 in Davenport, Iowa. Elza worked as a painter and had an enormous gift for gardening. He planted, cared for and shared the rewards of his large garden until the age of 93. Elza is survived by his daughter, Donna Meyers and husband, Bruce of Marion, Iowa; a son, Robert Dawson and wife, Dorothy of Maysville, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild
