Evelyn F. Mcafee

Evelyn F. McAfee, 86, of Tipton, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20 at 10:30 am, at Tipton's Calvary Four Square Church, with Rev. David Dierks officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodbridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Fry's. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Evelyn was born on October 7, 1928 in Marion, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Frank and Jesse Schmandt Romberg. On March 8, 1952 Evelyn was married to Ray McAfee in Tipton. Evelyn was known for mowing yards, doing any kind of yard work, house cleaning and cook. She was a member of the Calvary Foursquare Gospel Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Mary Byerly of Tipton, Iowa; grandson, Randy Byerly (Rosa Gottschalk) of Tipton, Iowa, sister, Delores Ashauser of Clintonville, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1962, son-in-law, Eugene Byerly in 2007, grandson Aaron Byerly in 2009, and her sister, Lorraine Vollmer and her brother, Franklin Romberg.
