Frances Louise Deerberg

Frances Louise Deerberg, 92, of Tipton, died Friday, March 11, 2011 in the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011, at 11:00 AM, First United Church of Christ, Tipton, interment will be in the Clarence Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 2:00 - 5:00 at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. A general memorial fund has been established in her memory. Frances Louise Lendt, daughter of Herbert and Emma Strackbein Lendt, was born November 3, 1918 in Bennett, Iowa. Frances graduated from Clarence High School. Frances worked at the Tipton Maid-Rite for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Tipton. Surviving are her 3 daughters, Alice (Lavelle) Martin of Iowa City, Iowa, Belva (Stuart) Weers of Boone, Iowa, Glenda (Dale) Edwards of Guthrie Center, Iowa; two sons, Wayne (LaVonne) Deerberg of Tipton, Iowa, Ken (Patsy) Deerberg of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Raymond (Helen) Lendt of Tipton, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Wilmot, Delmar and Elmer Lendt; 3 sisters, Leona Zahner, Marie Lupher and Myrtle Geertz; 3 grandchildren, Mayanna Sue, Kerry and Terry Martin.
