Frances Elaine Gaunt

Frances Elaine Gaunt, 68, of Tipton, entered eternal rest while surrounded by her family, Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Visitation will be at Calvary Foursquare Church, Tipton, on Friday, April 1st from 9:30-10:30 am, with the funeral service immediately following. Graveside and burial services will be at Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Tipton. A memorial fund in Frances's honor has been established. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Frances was born on May 17, 1947, in Muscatine, Iowa to Lyle and Geraldine (Phelps) Barkalow. She attended Wilton High School and later obtained her G.E.D. Frances was united in marriage to her best friend, Willard Leroy Gaunt in Iowa City, in June of 1964. They were blessed with 6 sons: Neil, Rick, Robert, Doug, Stan, Steve. In 1994 they relocated to Tipton and Frances became a member of the Women's Bible Study Group at Calvary Foursquare Church, where she has since been a member. Frances enjoyed fishing and camping, bowling and going to yard sales. She also loved to spend time with friends and enjoyed helping people. Frances is survived by her husband, mom, sons, Neil (Robin) of Muscatine, Rick(Kristy Foulks) of Tipton, Robert of Tipton, Doug(Lori) of Tipton, Stanley(DeeDee) of Tipton, Steven(Jennifer) of Tipton; sisters, Paulette Salyars, Patty Burns, Judy (John) Nicol; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Lila Barkalow; uncles, Bill and Keith; aunt, Janet.
