Genevieve Heald

Genevieve Evangeline Heald, daughter of Oscar & Jennie Peterson Eckberg, was born January 11, 1921 in Webster County, Iowa. She graduated from Gowrie High School & attended Drake University. On June 20, 1944, Genevieve was united in marriage to Herbert Heald in Webster County, Iowa. She taught school in Bennett, Iowa for 19 years, retiring in 1980. Genevieve was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tipton, PEO, Tipton Study Club, Ikebana and Search Light Woman's Organization. Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Mary Sjogren & husband Ernest of Durham, North Carolina and Myra Garrison of Waukee, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and son-in-law, Steven Crawford of Independance, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hebert Heald; daughter, Marjorie Crawford; and sister, Elsie Hanson.
