George Cary

George Alfred Cary, son of Jim & Barbara Blanche Garey Cary, was born January 12, 1914, in Tipton, Iowa. He graduated from Tipton High School and attended Iowa State University in Ames. George was united in marriage to Pauline Zoe Parker on January 29, 1943 in Humeston, Iowa. George earned his living as a farmer. He was a member of Tipton Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge and was a past Cedar County Supervisor. George is survived by his son, Bruce Cary and wife, Barb of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Cay Vest and husband, Harry of Tuscon, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a brother, Jim Cary of Tipton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Cary on November 10, 2001; and daughter, Zoe Ann Cary Leveque on May 1, 1994. A memorial fund has been established in honor of George.
