Georgia Spencer McClellan, daughter of Kermit Roosevelt and Marion Fowlie Spencer, was born November 15, 1933, at Mercy Hospital in Anamosa, Iowa. She was a 1951 graduate of Tipton High School. Following High School Georgia attended Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids. She later worked as a receptionist at Link Belt Speeder and in the ER at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Georgia married Kenneth KcClellan on November 5, 1973. Georgia was a very active member of the Methodist Church in Tipton. She taught Sunday school for many years, and was a member of the UMW. Georgia was active in the Senior Center and was involved with the Farm Bureau Women, Kings Daughters, Rebekah Lodge, Tipton Woman's Club and DAR. Georgia enjoyed collecting glass and china dogs, and spoons. She liked fishing, crosswords, and playing Bingo. Georgia was also an Amway dealer for several years. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth in 1984. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Georgia.
