Gerald Osborn

Gerald Gene Osborn, son of Admiral Dewey and Myrtle Turner Osborn was born December 1, 1937 in Tipton, Iowa. He was a 1955 graduate of Springdale High School. Gerald served in the United States Army and was a member of Tipton Veterans of Foreign Wars - Post 2537. On August 26, 1960, Gerald was united in marriage to Sharon Lea Achey in Tipton, Iowa. He worked for the Cedar County Road Maintenance Department for 37 1/2 years, retiring in February of 2000. Gerald is loved and survived by his wife, Sharon Osborn of Tipton, Iowa; sons, Babe Osborn and wife, Jane of Tipton, Iowa, Shannon Osborn and wife, Shelia of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Shelley Coker and husband, Dennis of St. Cloud, Florida; grandchildren, Jake Osborn, Meghan Czechowski and husband, Ryan, Michaela Osborn, Jackie Osborn, Steph Patton and husband, Josh, Austin Coker, Eric Coker, Kyle Coker, Patience Aaron; Great-grandchildren, Gavin Patton, Nevaeh Patton, Sophia Patton; sisters, Honey Lou Smith of Tipton, Iowa, Pat McQuillen of Moscow, Iowa; brothers, Paul Osborn and wife, Doris of Tipton, Iowa, Hugh Babe" Osborn of Athens Alabama Bert Osborn of Silvis Illinois Frank Osborn and wife Crystal of Mt. Vernon Iowa; many nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Admiral and Myrtle Osborn; brothers Junior Osborn and Rod Osborn.
