Gertrude Marie Kruse

Gertrude M. Kruse, 91, died Saturday, October 4, 2014, Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, 11:00 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Sharon Cemetery, rural Wilton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Gertrude was born on December 3, 1922 in Cedar County near Wilton, Iowa. She was the daughter of Paul Henry and Emma Augusta Busch Kruse. She attended Cedar County Schools, was a member of the Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett, a member of the B.P.W. for many years, the past Director of the Congregate Meals in Bennett, and was an Avon Representative and Sales Manager for 35 years. Gertrude was a caregiver to her father and uncle for 20 years. Gertrude is survived by her sister, Margaret Johnston of Tipton, Iowa, brother-in-law, Donald Heizer of Staunton, VA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Heizer; brother, John Busch; sister-in-law, Mary Busch; brother-in-law, Donald Johnston; and nephew, Tom Heizer.
