Grace Lenora Wright, 84, of Tipton, Iowa, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at Lantern Park Care Center in Coralville, Iowa, of complications from cancer. Her body has been cremated. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 26, First United Methodist Church, Tipton. The Reverend Mary Johnston will officiate. Arrangements by Fry Funeral Home. Another memorial service and interment will be held in Red Oak, Iowa, at a date to be announced later. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jack D. Wright of Tipton; sons DeLane D. Wright and wife Karen, also of Tipton, and Gail Wright and wife Lena, of Garfield, AR; daughter Marjorie Wright and husband Mark C. Meyer, of Iowa City; four granddaughters and four grandsons; one sister, Velma Case, of Villisca, Iowa; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louie Findley, four brothers and two sisters. Grace was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tipton, the United Methodist Women, Tipton Study Club, Tipton Women's Club (pres) and the Ida Mansfield Kings Daughters (pres). She was active for many years in the American Cancer Society of Iowa. Jack and Grace lived most of their married life in Red Oak, Iowa before moving to Lisbon, Iowa in 1996, and then to Tipton in 1997. The family suggest the following memorials in lieu of flowers: First United Methodist Churches of Tipton or Red Oak; American Cancer Society.
