Harold Barnhart

Harold was a lifelong resident of the Springdale/West Branch community, farming and watching his family grow. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Meredith Barnhart, his parents, and one brother, Ivan. He is survived by his daughter, Jerie Schwartz (Gary) of Coralville, two sons, Dan Barnhart (Nancy) of Iowa City, Tom Barnhart of West Branch, six grandchildren, Melody Mara (daughter, Breanna), Nikki Barnhart, Jana Schwartz (Rob Umbaugh), Lara Donohoe (Ed Pospisil), Justin Schwartz (Jamie), Jodi Turner (Jeff), 4 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Jim (Rhoda) Barnhart and Don (Ardis) Barnhart of West Branch. Harold had a love for children and in his last years the addition of great-grandchildren Ben Donohoe, Bailey Donohoe, and Cooper Umbaugh brought him tremendous joy and a wealth of smiles.
