Harold Everett Shotwell

Funeral services Harold Everett Shotwell, 92, of Tipton, who died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 will be Saturday, June 18, 2011, 10:00 AM at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will be held from 9-10, one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery with full military graveside rites. Online condolences and photos may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory. Harold was born September 12, 1918, in Muscatine County, Iowa. He was the son of Everett and Nellie Proctor Shotwell. Harold served in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage on November 27, 1938 to Margaret Alice Garlick in Tipton. Harold was employed as a mechanic. Harold is survived by his wife, Margaret Shotwell of Tipton; sons, Jim (Dorothy) Shotwell of Tipton, Don Shotwell of Tipton; and grandchildren, Mike and wife, Janet of Bennett, Lori Shotwell of West Branch, Kim Kidd of Baldwin; and great-granddaughter, Reba Shotwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Skladzien; and infant brother, Francis.
