Harry Heisch

Harry was born July 2, 1915, to Carl and Anna (Lett) Heisch, in Cedar County. In 1933, he graduated from Bennett High School where he was active in baseball and band. He was united in marriage to Gloria Friederichs in 1942. Harry was involved in farming most of his life, and loved dealing in livestock. In earlier years, he enjoyed card playing, dancing and following the Cubs. Survivors and spouses include his sons, Richard (Sandy) Heisch, of Bennett, and Kenneth (Cheryl) Heisch, of Walcott; daughter, Carol (Jim) Spies, of Bettendorf; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Margaret Jeppe and Frieda Kleppe, and an infant sister.
