Helen Catherine Ketelsen Voss, was born August 27, 1920 to Ludwig and Mary Beulah Wagner Ketelsen. She attended Sandy Hook Country School while growing up. Helen was united in marriage to Leonard Frank Voss on January 15, 1938, in Wilton, Iowa. she was a member of WELCA and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tipton. Helen was a homemaker and helped her husband farm near Rochester. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. Her family will always remember her pies, cakes, jelly, roasted duck and oyster stew. Helen is loved and survived by her daughters, Beverly (Jim) Tallman of Olin, Iowa, Kathy (Steve) Pasker of Swisher, Iowa, Mary Ann (John) Esbeck of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Brenda (Mark) Lehrman, Brian (Karina) Tallman, Blake (Lindsay) Pasker, Kara (Eric Linson) Pasker, Erica (Nick) Fitzgerald, Dane (Jenny) Esbeck; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Lehrman, Elijah Lehrman, Rylan Pasker, Jonah Tallman, Alexa Fitzgerald; twin sister, Hulda Chapman of Tipton, Iowa; sisters, Hazel Ervin of Wilton, Iowa, Mary Lou Voss of Bennett, Iowa; brother, Harlan Ketelsen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leonard F. Voss. A memorial has been established in memory of Helen.
